This six piece kit comes in a custom storage case and is perfect for connecting most digital cameras with threaded lenses to most microscopes or telescopes. The CamAdapter will also function with 35 mm SLR cameras and includes adapters to fit optical devices with any the following attachments; C-Mount, C/S-Mount, T-Mount, 23mm Eyepiece Port, 30mm Eyepiece Port, and 1.25" Eyepiece Ports.

The CamAdapter can also be used as a third eyepiece when placed in the trinocular port of a microscope.

The CamAdapter has an industry standard "T" thread on top so you will need the appropriate attachment kit to attach it to your specific digital camera. 2. The rubber eye cup guards can fold down for eyeglass wearers.
3. The 1.25 adapter is designed for camera to telescope applications.
4. The "T" mount standard is the utilized the 35mm film camera industry. Many optical devices are compatible with this system.
5. Use the CamAdapter off the microscope as a macro lens with your camera!

The CamAdapter also features a unique sliding collar assembly which serves several important functions, it allows quick and easy removal of the camera, adjust eyeguard height for comfortable visual use, adjust magnification when used with a 35mm camera, and allows you to adjust lens position to minimize vignetting with a digital camera.

"We are confident in the high quality and craftsmanship of the CamAdapter.
If your CamAdapter should ever fail we will repair or replace it for free."

How to install your Camera to your Microscope
1. Determine where you are going to mount your camera to your microscope. Either on the trinocular port or in an eyepiece port.

  • a. If a trinocular port you will probably use the 23 mm adapter.
  • b. If a biological high power microscope you will probably use a 23 mm adapter
  • c. If a stereo microscope eyepiece port you will probably use a 30 mm adapter
    2. Install the correct adapter to the CamAdapter end with inside threads. It is the end where the knurled knob is located.
    3. Remove the plastic glass guard and unscrew the ring holding the rubber eyeguard. Your camera adapter will install on this end of the CamAdapter.
    4. Carefully install the separate adapter you have for your specific camera system to the CamAdapter.
    5. Attach your camera to the adapter.
    6. Slide your camera and CamAdapter into the trinocular port or the eyepiece tube.
    7. Adjust as necessary through positioning and using the CamAdapter extender.
    8. You are ready to go!

    Tips:
    1. If your camera has a macro mode try it. Most Cameras will give the widest field of view at this mode.
    2. If your camera does not have a macro mode try zooming in to eliminate vignetting as much as possible.
    3. If your camera has a remote cord - use it! Otherwise, use the built in timer to take photos hands free to reduce any vibrations.
    4. Always ensure the CamAdapter and adapter or step ring are firmly attached and in place so the camera does not fall. It is recommended you tether your camera to the scope just in case the setup is bumped or a screw is loosened while changing camera settings or position.
